(Im from EU ^.^) The game is currently downloading and I should be on within the next hour or so. I will post here my first impressions and a quick review for the first few levels.

I'm playing the warhammer eu endless trial now and again, mostly to experience the old world, I was a big pen and paper warhammer player back in the day. Such a shame most people is from the US, the timezone always messes up things. When its midnight here and I go to bed around that clock, its 6 ish in the evening in the us, where most people just got home from work Sad

Eheh, Im EU myself! But I decided to login the US server as most of these guys seem to be US. So far I've just ranked to to level 6 and im having a blast! Im not sure what people are on about when they said there is no PvE? Ive found loads! and its so fun finding odd little strange things to click to get tombs (Xp). The PvP is brilliant and fun :p

Haven't played beyond lvl 10 so I dunno how it is, but the public quests seems to be dead, since there is not many people around those lower levels anymore. But the endless trial probably helped. I don't think people are saying there is NO pve, its just shallow and not much of it :p

I hate that they cancelled the old warhammer online game maybe 6-7 years ago, it looked AWESOME! It was based on the pen and paper warhammer rpg, and not on warhammer fantasy battle. And it was mainly a pve game. How cool would it be to be able to pick from human, elf, dwarf, halfling and ogre, then one of the 100 warhammer careers(yes careers not classes) from the original pen and paper game? Oh I can dream Sad

I hate being from the eu in these situations Sad

The PvE is fine for leveling up, and I thought the public quests were awesome during release, but as you get higher, and try to do their pathetic attempt at dungeons, you'll see why people bash Warhammer's pve.

I played WAR up to T3 at launch, and have gone back a few times since they introduced the unlimited free trial.I always get super excited about this game when I first play it, and have a blast... for about a week.

The public quests are fun, but it can get frustrating to do just about everything, and get a low roll and crappy loot while someone that got there just at the end gets a hi roll and wins the big bag. I generally like all the class designs, even if I don't like the almost straight mirroring between factions, though I understand it's for balance purposes.

On the pvp side of things, I love the scenarios, until you start going up against some twinked out pre-made group that simply steamrolls over your entire team, with very little you can hope to do about it. The open RvR is even more fun, but the problem is, usually if a group of people can't take a keep within 10 minutes or so, they give up and go cap one that is undefended. Long, drawn-out, epic sieges are few and far between, atleast in my experience, though when they do happen, they are a hell of a lot of fun.

Overall, this game focuses on one thing: PvP. PvE is simply a distraction to use until your next scenario pops, or you find a big group to go running around with in an RvR lake. I enjoy PvP, and this game does do it very well, but I just don't feel it's very sustainable. There are only so many outcomes and strategies per scenario, and you have to run each into the ground to get up to the next tier and unlock more, so the game feels more repetitive than a traditional PvE MMO to me.
